ENGAGING OVER SUMMER SERIES☀️🌍 This summer, CCS students & faculty are continuing education through programs, trips and internships, locally, around the country, and across the globe. This series will highlight some of these summer engagements!

🥋🌟Rising Senior Gianna Gaskins, an ATA Martial Arts Elite Competitor, showcased her skills at the ATA Martial Arts 2026 Southeast District Tournament on June 6, and won the District Champions Silver Medal for Combat Sparring! Currently, she holds the title of 2026 ATA Martial Arts North Carolina State Champion for girls aged 15-17. Due to her exceptional performance this year, she will travel to Arizona in July to compete in the ATA Martial Arts World Championship. Gianna has been a dedicated ATA student since 2nd grade, became an elite competitor in 9th grade, and recently achieved her 2nd Degree Black Belt!

📚✨Our lower school math team participated in professional development over several days, collaborating on best practices, and exploring innovative approaches to continue making math learning engaging for our students. 📚✨

🇮🇹🍝✨ Thirteen CCS families embarked on an exciting inaugural middle school summer connections trip to Italy! They explored Rome and Florence, visiting iconic sites like Pompeii, the Colosseum, and the Vatican. They also ventured to Cinque Terre and saw the prison where Peter and Paul were held before their executions. A highlight was a delightful bike ride through Florence, and they even learned to make fresh pasta at a local cooking school. It was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen community ties, connect with curriculum, and deepen their faith! 🌍☀️

🌅🌎 Rising sixth graders had an amazing time this week on the Creation Encounter trip, where they explored the Creation Museum, Dollywood, Cincinnati Zoo, and the Ark Encounter. This experience allowed them to learn about and appreciate the wonders of God’s creation! 🌟
