Congratulations, Class of 2026!

Today is the day.

The Class of 2026 has worked hard, trusted God with their futures, and now that season is here. They have been prayed over as a class, and we are asking you to continue to pray for them as they step into what’s next.

Tonight, the Class of 2026 will walk across the stage to receive their diplomas, starting a new season of their lives. We would love for you to be there to celebrate with them.

Graduation is tonight in the Worship Center at 6 PM.

On Thursday, May 14, we celebrated the 5th Grade Moving On Ceremony in the Worship Center.

The afternoon was full of student voices — dancers and singers took the stage, classmates shared words of wisdom, and favorite memories were passed around with joy. Campbell Benfield brought a message to send them off well, and the afternoon closed in prayer over the class as they head into middle school.

We are so proud of our 5th graders. Congratulations, and welcome to The Middle.

What a joyful day at our Kindergarten Moving On Celebration!

The students in Mrs. Angle, Señor Figueroa, and Mrs. Mullis' classes worshiped through beautiful songs and the recitation of Bible verses in both English and Spanish. We are so proud of the confidence, growth, and love for the Lord these students have shown throughout the year!

Each student proudly walked across the stage and received a special award recognizing a unique character trait they displayed this year. From kindness and friendliness to responsibility and faith, it was a wonderful reminder that every child is uniquely gifted by God.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the parents, grandparents, friends, and family members who have supported and encouraged our students this year. Your partnership means so much to our school family!

We are excited for a fun-filled summer ahead and cannot wait to watch these amazing students continue to grow and thrive as they move into 1st grade next year! 🌞✏️🎓

This semester's Performing Arts students came together last night to share the musical talents the Lord has given them and highlight their effort and hard work in strengthening their craft.

The Spring Performing Arts Concert featured performances by the Middle School Beginning Band and Middle School Intermediate Band, led by Band Director, Stephanie Tomberlin. The evening concluded with lively performances by the High School Musical Theater class led by Musical Theater Director, Abigail Robertson.

Thank you to our parents who have supported their children and encouraged them to practice to use their gifts and talents to glorify God.

Congratulations to everyone who participated in our Reading Challenge! In one month, our elementary students read 342,715 minutes!! We are so proud of all of our students who made reading a priority and worked hard throughout the challenge.

A special shoutout to our Top Readers for going above and beyond! Your dedication and love for reading are inspiring.

Yesterday, a group of our 10th–12th grade students visited Carolinas College of Health Sciences for a campus tour and admissions information session. Housed alongside Wake Forest Medical School at The Pearl in uptown Charlotte, Carolinas College of Health Sciences offers students a direct pathway into careers with Atrium Health — and a firsthand look at what studying and working in the medical field can truly look like.
At Hickory Grove, we are committed to walking alongside our students as they discern what God has for them after graduation. For students pursuing our Medical Sciences Certificate — which includes coursework in Anatomy & Physiology, Health Sciences, and a clinical component — visits like this one are a natural extension of the preparation already happening in our classrooms. We are grateful for partners who invest in that journey alongside us.

Lions! The end of the year is here, and May is packed with moments worth marking on your calendar. From Senior Recognition Chapel to High School Graduation, we have a full month ahead. Join us as we celebrate milestones at every level, from our littlest kindergarteners to our graduating seniors.

Last Friday, we had our 2026 International Festival! 60 incredible high school students from 25 countries around the world represented! Students from TK - 12th grade had the chance to explore different cultures, play games, sample delicious foods, and enjoy music from around the globe.
