When it hits this close to home, it feels different.
I taught nursery school at Temple Israel, attended my friends’ weddings and baby namings, and watched my nephew read from the Torah for his Bar Mitzvah. I visited the beautiful Mikvah before I got married, taught Joe Cornell pre-bar mitzvah dance lessons in Herman Hall, and even spoke there when I wrote my second book.
So many memories; my heart hurts.
