Our fifth and first graders had a great week with some IB projects! Fifth graders selected a problem in the world, researched it, and spent time educating others and completing an action step like making posters, having a book drive to support quality education for all, and presenting to students and families. This was such a huge task for our students and want to thank Ms. Brawt, our Connect teachers, the fifth grade teachers, and Ms. Huntley (grandparent) for the support they provided for IB Exhibition! Our first graders in Ms. Beatty’s class and Mr. Harrison’s class developed their own toy store and restaurant! Every student had their own job and responsibility! It was so much fun seeing our students engage in these projects! Cannot wait to see these projects grow next year!

What a fun week at the farms! We had a visit from and for a high energy assembly for our 2-5 students! Students learned great social emotional skills and had a blast engaging in basketball tricks, dancing, and watching the sheriffs and teachers have fun too! Our fifth grade students prepared for their IB Exhibition this week with visits from experts that talked all about different issues facing our world and then they worked with their groups to start thinking of ways to inform the public and make positive change! Finally, first grade celebrated día de niño with a visit from author and illustrator , author of The Dreamcatcher! He read his book to students, answered questions about his job, then showed them they can create their own story by taking their suggestions and illustrating it! A huge thanks to Ms. Spann, Ms. Brawt, Ms. Huntley (PTA), Ms. Schnelle, and Ms. McNeece for organizing the fun! We are so incredibly proud of our two Spanish Spelling Bee representatives. Both boys were such risk takers going to the bee and representing our foxes well. Great job Quinn and Wilson!
