What an amazingly fun day at Elon Park! The Morris Jenkins ice cream truck delivered holiday cheer to all our students and staff! Everyone got ice cream hand delivered by SANTA! A huge thank you to Morris Jenkins for making our day so sweet!

The Penguin Patch Holiday Shop is coming December 8th-12th, and we need your help! Volunteers assist students as they shop for gifts for family and friends. It’s a fun and festive way to support the school and make the experience special for the students. Volunteer at the link below!

We are excited to announce that Ms. Keyanna Duncan will be joining us as our new Assistant Principal! Please help us welcome Ms. Duncan into her new role.

Message from Ms. Duncan:

Hello Elon Park Families and Staff,

My name is Keyanna Duncan, and I am honored and overjoyed to introduce myself as your new Assistant Principal. As an accomplished educator and equity-minded leader, I have over 17 years of experience in various roles across the elementary setting, including a decade of classroom teaching. I hold a Master’s in Educational Leadership with a Coaching Endorsement and a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education.

In my previous role as the interventionist, I’ve had the privilege of working with small groups, watching our students grow, and witnessing the magic that happens at Elon Park every day. Now I’m excited to serve in a new way that allows me to champion our learners, support our staff, and strengthen the relationships that make this community so special. I believe deeply in teamwork, joy, and doing what’s best for children- and I can’t wait to partner with each of you as we continue to make Elon Park a place where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Thank you for welcoming me with open arms. I’m excited for all the great work and memories ahead!

The school day took an unexpected turn when our staff showed up in full inflatable costume glory and started a parade through the halls. Dinosaurs, unicorns, and other unidentifiable inflatable creatures made their way past classrooms!

The parade was our teachers’ way of celebrating the fact that we did exceed our Capital Campaign goal — but honestly, the costumes stole the show.

A big shoutout to our Elon Park staff for committing 100%! The students won’t forget this one anytime soon.
