Spotlight Saturday - Megan Hennings, UNC Charlotte Class of 2015 graduate and former Student Alumni Ambassador.

“Leadership means helping your group and others accomplish a greater goal. It doesn’t always necessarily mean having a position or title, but being an active part of the team.” Introducing Megan Hennings, a Human of Leadership.
“I would definitely tell incoming freshmen to get involved on campus in a club or organization that they’re interested in as soon as possible. It’s the perfect way to get connected to other students and start developing skills outside of the classroom.” During Hennings four years at UNC Charlotte she has accomplished a vast amount through her academic success and on campus participation. Hennings was involved in both Leadership Fellows and LeaderShape for the Center for Leadership Development. She held positions as an Orientation Counselor, a Marketing Coordinator for New Student Services, a Development Assistant for the Latin American Coalition and traveled to South Korea as a part of the Model United Nations team for the Harvard WorldMUN Conference.
“The Center for Leadership Development has played a major role in my college career and professional growth. Through Leadership Fellows and LeaderShape, I learned so much about myself and gained the skills to be a leader that will stay with me far past college.” Hennings’ extensive experience and involvement on campus while mastering the art of academic success illustrates her leadership qualities. She utilized the CLD as a foundation in order to build her success both on and off campus.

Following the wonderful spirit of NinerNationGives on 4/9, it's now time for us to show SAA Cares. We are collecting canned food and cash donations to support 2nd Harvest Food Bank of Charlotte starting on Monday, April 13, in Student Union. Find us on campus this week and let us see the giving power of Niner Nation.

Student Alumni Ambassadors Executive Board spiced up our Monday meeting by hosting the first ever SSA Committee Wars - "Rep Your Set". Our agenda was full of fun.

Today's meeting agenda is playing games and having fun.

Our first Spotlight SAAturday goes to Janoah Williams! She is a senior graduating in May with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Communication Studies! Janoah has been involved in many areas on campus including Leadership Fellows, SOAR, UTOP, SAFE, Niner Guides and was previously Vice President of SAA! She was recently selected as a recipient of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges and plans to pursue a master's degree in Student Affairs after graduation. Congrats Janoah! We are proud of you!
