What a way to wrap up another incredible school year! Our East Summer Party!!

We got the chance to invite our families to celebrate with us and spend one last afternoon together before the summer. A day full of foam bubbles w/ Foam Boss by Ross, face painting, soccer, and of course, a game of musical chairs with the parents 😂

Wanted to give a huge thank you to our Afterschool Programming staff for this year, and also to our volunteers who showed up early to help make it all happen.

This school year went by way too fast, but we’re so grateful and can’t wait for next one 🩷💙

Next stop, SUMMER CAMP!

Last week, we wrapped up the school year with our South Summer Party! 🩷

This year’s celebration was World Cup themed, and families proudly represented their countries by wearing jerseys from around the world. It was a beautiful reminder of the many cultures that make up our ourBRIDGE community.

The day was filled with soccer, tug-of-war, delicious dishes shared through a family potluck, Bolis, and closed the day with a pinata made from an oB parent! One of the highlights was a special salsa performance by our BRIDGE Kids, led by .

A huge thank you to our classroom facilitators, volunteers, and families for making this school year so meaningful.

Last Friday, we celebrated Africa Day at ourBRIDGE! 🌍🩷

What started as a tradition at our East Site has grown into a meaningful opportunity to recognize and celebrate the rich diversity of cultures represented within our community. From Congo to Kenya to Ethiopia, Africa Day, observed on May 25, honors the history, resilience, and contributions of African nations and communities around the world.

A special thank you to for sharing their knowledge and performing a traditional Kenyan & Congolese performance. Thank you for your incredible Ethiopian & Eritrean performances. Shoutout for the interactive drumming lesson! And can’t forget about for the Africa Day theme’d screen printing! You all are one of the reasons why we are able to do what we love most 🩷💙

We were honored to celebrate the mothers of ourBRIDGE and .clt during a special gathering focused on reflection, and well-being. 🩷

Through a guided sound meditation thanks to , Mothers were able to have a safe space to relax and unwind.

Moms than had a chance to paint, along with a mental health workshop focused on empowerment lead by .clt

Thank you to all the incredible mothers who joined us. Your stories, and presence made this gathering so meaningful. 🌷

Dry Ice Day at ourBRIDGE! BRIDGE Kids observed different reactions, experimented with dry ice, and explored the “why” behind each reaction during one of our favorite yearly activities🥼

This past Fun Friday, our East Site opened the doors to the East Cafe!🧋

A tradition our students look forward to each year, they used their tickets and oB Bucks to purchase their smoothie flavor of choice. Our BRIDGE students worked the stations throughout the fun Friday, practicing teamwork and customer service skills. Also enjoying a smoothie of choice in the process!🩷

Last Friday, we came together to celebrate the incredible moms and families in our OB community 🎻

We spent the evening with the while enjoying some empanadas and fresas con crema. Families also had the chance to browse dresses and jewelry to take home for their special occasions.

A huge thank you to the Charlotte Symphony for such a beautiful performance for our families!
