Whitewater Academy is excited to celebrate our students’ hard work, growth, and accomplishments during our upcoming Promotion Ceremonies and Awards Programs! 💙

🚨 Important Reminder: Our Kindergarten, Pre-K, and 5th Grade events are promotion ceremonies, not graduations. Caps and gowns are not permitted and students arriving in caps and gowns will be asked to remove them before participating.
🎈 : Flowers and gifts are permitted, however please avoid balloons! Thank you.

🌎🐬 At Whitewater Academy, we are PROUD to celebrate our incredible ML students and teachers! 💙✨ Did you know that “ML” stands for Multilingual Learner? These are students who are learning English while also bringing the beauty of their home language, culture, and experiences into our school community. Being multilingual is a SUPERPOWER! 🌟 This year, over 60% of our ML students met growth, exceeded growth, and/or EXITED the ML program! Shout out to 2nd grade for having the most students EXCEED their goal!🎉📚 Students exit the program once they demonstrate strong English language proficiency across listening, speaking, reading, and writing through state assessments and classroom performance. That means these Dolphins are making BIG waves academically! 🌊 A huge shoutout to our amazing ML team, including our newest Dolphins, Mrs. Rhyne and Mrs. Allen! 🐬💙 Although they are new to Whitewater, they fit into our family perfectly from day one. These ladies worked tirelessly to support students at every opportunity, build meaningful relationships, and encourage confidence in every child they served. Their dedication has truly made an impact! We are so proud of our ML students for their perseverance, courage, and growth. Our 3rd–5th graders are getting ready to show what they KNOW 💪📚 and we need your help to set them up for success!

🗓️ Mark your calendars and make sure your child is:
⏰ On time (testing starts first thing in the morning!)
😴 Well rested
🍳 Fueled with a good breakfast
💙 Encouraged with positive words

🚨 Important Reminder: Students who arrive late will not be allowed to enter testing sessions once they begin due to NC state policies.

We had the BEST time celebrating all our learning at the end of our Pre-K “Exercise” Unit! 💪🎉

Our “Sweatin’ to the Oldies” event brought together students and families for a day full of movement, music, and smiles 🕺💃 From showing off our dance moves to exercising our bodies, our little learners truly SHINED!
