The Class of 2026 Eagles Have Flown the Nest! Congratulations, Graduates!

05/04/2026

Commencement Day is here, and our Student Government Association President and Commencement Student Speaker, Stephanie Zepp, is reflective of her first day in teal scrubs, double-checking every step she took. Throughout the ADN program, she has taken away a few important lessons:

Be present with your patient.

When things are tough, lean on what brought you here in the first place.

Remember, you are never alone in this profession.

Stephanie reminds her peers, “The people sitting beside you today, your classmates, your peers, are now your colleagues. The connections you’ve built here don’t end today; they become part of your support system moving forward.”

Thank you, Stephanie, for your leadership among your fellow Eagles during your presidency and for your dedication to the nursing profession. We could not be prouder!

Congratulations to the recipients of our 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award!

We are excited to highlight one of our exceptional alumni and celebrate her impact.

Kristy Morley, Nursing – 2012 Graduate

Since graduating, Kristy’s has continued to advance her Nursing career even further. In her time in the Labor and Delivery unit, she joined Charlotte Medical Center’s Perinatal Loss/ Bereavement Committee. In 2026, she is now the co-chair of the said committee. Under the shared guidance of her and her co-chair, a perinatal bereavement education program and bereavement room has been created. She also volunteers at other bereavement-focused nonprofits throughout Charlotte. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Kristy is currently enrolled in Columbia University’s Narrative Medicine master’s program.

We are proud to once again congratulate our outstanding alumni award recipients, who exemplify the college’s core values of caring, commitment, integrity, and teamwork. Your impact extends far beyond the hospital room; you are saving and welcoming lives and inspiring the next generation.

So many outstanding educators, we couldn’t choose just one!

We are proud to celebrate two incredible recipients of our Educator of the Year Award, Program Chair Erika Land and Biology Instructor Kevin Hall!

Their nominations were filled with heartfelt praise, including:

“Her work directly supports the transformation and preparation of future healthcare professionals.”

“There was never a moment in any of those classes (Anatomy and Physiology I and II) when I felt Dr. Hall was not behind us in full support.”

Congratulations to both educators for making such a meaningful impact on their students!
