Friends of Cabrini Explore our online microschool for unschoolers, where we educate and inspire through engaging unschooling classes in a vibrant learning ecosystem.

This weekend our little friends completed a zoo animal scavenger hunt at the Lincoln Park Zoo. They used the zoo campus maps as well as the ZooScav app to complete the challenges and earn points as a whole team. Congrats kiddos!

Here's to Historical Nonfiction. 📖
In our Unmasking the Letter American History class, our unschoolers are tackling a difficult text and learning to identify propaganda techniques such as fear-mongering, "us vs. Them," and dehumanization. They are learning how to read between the lines to understand a speaker’s hidden fears and motives.

They will continue to learn how to spot anachronism and verify the historical accuracy of sources using primary documents like the 1705 Slave Codes.

We are guiding them through analytical thinking and writing using the Willie Lynch Letter, and encouraging them to move beyond summarizing what happened and begin explaining how it was planned to work. This is unschooling.

We're excited to welcome a new class of students to our Road Trip USA geography class for the 3rd year! Woohoo!! 🎉

Join Friends of Cabrini Families on Wednesdays beginning April 29th at 10:00A CST for an amazing geography class for 1st-4th grade learners. Weekly tuition is $10 or $80 for the full class. We can't wait to explore the US and see what amazing artifacts we find together.
