It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Sharon Gates, DSW, senior director of Student Diversity and Community Engagement at Rush University.
For more than 35 years, Sharon played an integral role in supporting and developing students. She leaves a legacy of service, always putting others at the forefront of her work. Her commitment to students and our communities was evident throughout her career, especially through the Rush Community Service Initiatives Programs to advance Rush’s mission across Chicago and beyond. For three decades, these programs have helped students connect their passions with their education to serve those who need it most. Her contributions to Rush and the communities we serve are innumerable.

Celebrating his 25-year Rush Medical College reunion, Eric Feldman, MD ’01, and his wife, Dayna, recently established an endowed scholarship fund to take some pressure off students as Rush prepares them to become excellent physicians.

Dr. Eric Feldman’s grandparents financially supported his education at Rush Medical College. Now, his family is establishing an endowed scholarship fund to help others.
