Another historical milestone we're featuring for is the moment Kathy Kozachenko was elected to the Ann Arbor City Council. Her election to public office was a historical step forward in providing a voice to the LGBTQIA+ community in politics that wasn't there before.

As we conclude Acero’s graduation season, Soto had the honor of kicking off the celebrations and setting the tone for this special time of year.

Class of 2026, you will be deeply missed. Sending you off into the next chapter of your lives was both a proud and emotional moment for all of us. While we’re excited to see where your journey takes you, we’re not quite ready to let you go.

Please know that Soto will always be a place you can come back to. Whether you need guidance, support, or simply want to share your successes, our doors will always be open. The entire leadership team is incredibly proud of everything you have accomplished and the amazing individuals you have become.

Stay in touch, keep believing in yourselves, and don’t be afraid to knock on those doors and chase every opportunity that comes your way.
