Congratulations to our 2026 Graduates! It was an honor to celebrate your time at Catherine Cook and commemorate your accomplishments on Friday. We are excited to see where your futures take you!

🍦The End-of-Year Early Childhood Picnic was filled with smiles, quality time, and ice cream! Our Early Childhood families and teachers had a wonderful time celebrating a year of growth and friendship.

🌱📷 Our 1st Graders are bursting with curiosity as they get a closer look at a hatching caterpillar egg. Our Curriculum Specialist, Peg Keiner, has been piloting a macro photography experience in some Cook classrooms where students take charge in inspecting and photographing what they can't see with a naked eye. Our 1st Graders share their wonders and hypotheses about the caterpillar egg, interacting with the camera, and the projected image.

This morning was our Middle School Awards Ceremony! 5th through 8th Grade students were awarded and recognized for being thinkers, empathizers, creators, communicators, collaborators, citizens, and changemakers.

The ceremony then recognized five outstanding 8th Graders who were awarded our top honors at Catherine Cook. Join us in congratulating every student who was honored today!

🎶 This Saturday our community had a blast at the School’s Out Extravaganza: COOK-CHELLA! Families came to celebrate the end of the school year with live music, festive hairdos, temporary tattoos, a climbing wall, bounce houses, and music festival themed activities.

Our Cougar Buddies reunited one last time before summer break! 🐾 Our buddy pairs were excited to share about their summers, make mementos for each other, and enjoy a last hurrah of the school year!

Our 8th Graders had fun in sunny Florida last week on their signature trip. Their week was packed with activities like airboat tour, kayaking, dolphin sightseeing, visiting a coral reef state park, and STEM based activities!

🐾 🎶 Our 6th Grade music class decided to share the love with some four-legged friends! This week, students took a field trip to Chicago Animal Care and Control to play their ukuleles for dogs and cats in shelter.
