Dear Child of God,

How are you doing today?

Are you facing challenges and difficulties? We know that times are hard for many people, but have you ever paused to ask yourself if there is something you need to make right?

Is there someone you have offended that deserves an apology, but pride is holding you back? Is there someone you have hurt with your words, falsely accused, or treated unfairly? Have you made restitution where necessary?

Many people pray for breakthrough while ignoring unresolved issues with others. God is merciful and forgives those who genuinely repent, but He also expects us to seek peace and reconciliation where possible.

“Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.” — Matthew 5:23-24 (KJV)

Take a moment today to reflect. Make that call. Send that message. Offer that apology. Seek peace with God and with others.

May the Lord open our eyes of understanding, reveal every area that needs correction, and give us the grace to walk in humility, truth, and righteousness.

Amen.

Today, I celebrate an exceptional woman, Dr. Chioma.

Dr. Chioma was already a PhD holder in Nigeria, yet she had the courage, determination, and vision to come to the United States to pursue her dreams and earn another PhD. Today, I am delighted to celebrate her remarkable achievement as a double PhD holder in Computer Science.

Beyond her academic excellence, she is incredibly intelligent, humble, kind, and always willing to help others succeed.

I will never forget that she reviewed my very first graduate school Statement of Purpose for a U.S. application. She also took the time to review my PhD Statement of Purpose and provided valuable guidance that helped shape my journey.

What amazes me most is that despite her busy schedule and numerous accomplishments, she always makes time for people. A small girl like me can call her, and she will pick up immediately. I can send her messages, and she responds with patience, wisdom, and encouragement. That level of humility and accessibility is truly rare.

Dr. Chioma, thank you for your support, mentorship, encouragement, and generosity. I am deeply grateful for all you have done for me and for many others whose lives you have impacted.

As I celebrate you today, I pray that God continues to elevate you, bless you abundantly, and reward every seed of kindness you have sown into the lives of others. Greater achievements, greater impact, and greater blessings are still ahead of you.

Big congratulations, Dr. Dr. Chioma

Please join me in celebrating this outstanding scholar, mentor, and inspiration.

One of the greatest signs of maturity is the ability to accept correction without becoming defensive.

Many people feel attacked, marginalized, or offended whenever their attention is repeatedly drawn to a particular attitude, behavior, or work habit. Instead of taking a moment to reflect, they immediately become defensive and begin to justify their actions.

But what if the correction is valid?

What if, instead of reacting emotionally, we paused and asked ourselves:

Could I have responded more politely?
Could I have handled that situation better?
Is there something about my character that needs improvement?
Am I truly taking accountability for my actions?

The truth is that accountability is not weakness. It is a strength that helps us grow.

Sadly, many people miss valuable opportunities for growth because pride prevents them from accepting correction. Over time, attitudes that seem small and insignificant can become major obstacles to success, relationships, leadership, and personal development.

As we begin a new week, make a decision to be teachable, accountable, and open to growth.

Work on your character.
Work on your attitude.
Work on how you respond to correction.
Work on your pride.

I have seen talented people lose opportunities, positions, and relationships because of attitudes they refused to address.

Remember, the higher you go in life, the more important your character becomes. Skills may open doors, but character determines how long you stay in the room.

Have a blessed and productive week ahead.

Today, my family and I had the privilege of supporting and celebrating a dear brother and friend on his wedding day.

He is one of the kindest people I have met. I still remember that about two months after we arrived in America, I suddenly became very ill one night after returning from school. The pain was so severe that I thought something terrible was happening to me. An ambulance took me to the hospital, and while we were still trying to find our footing in a new country, this brother stayed with my family until 2:00 a.m. when I was finally discharged.
We were all new to America then, but his kindness left a lasting impression on me and my family.

Today, against all odds, we were able to celebrate with him. We brought a tray of Nigerian Egusi soup and swallow for the guests, and it was heartwarming to see the excitement on the faces of fellow Nigerians when they saw a taste of home at the wedding.

I thank God for giving us the opportunity to show appreciation and repay kindness in our own little way.

The lesson is simple: Be kind to people. You may never know the impact your kindness will have, and often, kindness has a way of coming back to you when you least expect it.

Congratulations to the beautiful couple. May God bless your union with love, joy, peace, good health, and a lifetime of happiness together.

That’s a beautiful story of gratitude, friendship, and community. It highlights how small acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact and strengthen relationships for years to come.

I have a question
Why do people find it difficult to apologize when they wrong you
They rather try to be nice but the word I am sorry looks heavy to them
Please share your thoughts
