One of the things we love most about this partnership is how it expands the role of reading beyond education alone.
Books can spark conversations, strengthen family bonds, and create shared experiences, even across distance and difficult circumstances.
We're grateful to partner with Worldreader to bring BookSmart to Edovo learners and help make those moments of connection possible.
Together, we're working to ensure more people have access not only to learning, but also to the stories that help us stay connected to the people who matter most.
Thank you, Worldreader, for being such a thoughtful partner in this work. 📚❤️
Edovo
We are a non-profit organization that makes educational, vocational, and rehabilitative curriculums and content free to incarcerated people.
At Edovo, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive. We are a non-profit providing educational, vocational, and rehabilitative curriculums and content to incarcerated people. At Edovo, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, so fundamental learning should always be available at no cost to the incarcerated Learners we serve. We strive to create rehabilitative-focused co
This is why we care so much about access to education inside correctional facilities.
Because it’s not just about education. It’s about what it unlocks for someone.
Opportunity. Confidence. Direction. Hope.
Most people don’t think about what education looks like in these environments. Or how limited access actually is. Or how much has to be intentionally built just for learning to exist at all.
But we do.
Every lesson, every course, every resource on Edovo is created with purpose. It’s designed for real barriers that most systems don’t account for.
And we are deeply about getting that right.
Making sure what we build is actually useful. That it reflects what learners are asking for. That it meets people where they are, not where we assume they should be.
And honestly, we feel really lucky to be part of it. To work alongside educators, partners, and a team that’s committed to expanding what’s possible for people who are too often left out.
This work isn’t just about the platform. It’s about what becomes possible because of it.

One of the best parts of attending the National Sheriffs' Association Annual Conference this week was spending time with the team behind IGNITE®.
IGNITE is helping jails across the country expand access to education, job training, and reentry support, creating more opportunities for people preparing to return home. Many IGNITE facilities use Edovo to deliver that programming directly to residents.
We're grateful for partners who share our belief that education can be a powerful tool for growth, opportunity, and lasting change.

Healing is part of reentry.
We're proud to welcome Reclaiming Harmony: A Post-Incarceration Trauma Workbook for Personal Transformation to Edovo's library. Created by Dr. Nicole Wiesen, this resource helps learners better understand the impact of trauma while building skills for healing, resilience, and personal growth.

Meet Anne from Edovo's finance team.
The reason she loves her job has nothing to do with numbers and everything to do with people.
Watch her explain why helping create second chances is what makes this work so meaningful.
Just another day building an app that helps connect millions of incarcerated learners to education, job skills, and personal growth.
What’s a phrase from your job that would sound ridiculous out of context?
Edovo Insider was created for one audience first: our incarcerated learners.
In Episode 2, members of the Edovo team answer a question we’ve heard from many people inside: Why do you do this work?
This episode speaks directly to the people using Edovo every day, sharing the personal reasons our team believes education, growth, and second chances matter.
When most people picture a jail, they picture dangerous people. Emma who works inside a jail knows better.
The majority of people in jail on any given day are pretrial, meaning they haven't been convicted of a crime. They're waiting. A lot of them are waiting for nonviolent cases, for weeks or months or longer, because they don't have the money to post bail.
That's the reality inside. Not what you see in movies or what makes the news.
Follow if you want to understand what's actually happening inside the system...from the people who know it best.

Dillon is proof that growth knows no walls.
We recently launched something new at Edovo: *Edovo Insider*.
It’s a video series created to open up a more direct conversation with our incarcerated learners across the country, giving them a chance to hear from the people behind Edovo, fellow learners, content partners, and others on topics that matter to them most.
Each episode ends with a question back to learners, helping us better understand their experiences, needs, and goals in real time.
As much as we’d love to visit every jail and prison where Edovo is used, we simply can’t. This is one way we’re trying to stay more connected to the people we serve.
The response so far has been incredible, with more than 150,000 learners already engaging with the first three episodes in the series.
Give the first episode a watch; we're just getting started!
