Our Sterile Processing graduating class had an unforgettable learning experience during a visit to the International Museum of Surgical Science!
Led by Lavada Bland, students explored the history of surgery and the evolution of surgical instrumentation through interactive exhibits and educational displays.
The visit included a guided museum tour, trivia games focused on medical history and surgical science, and an educational demonstration related to below-the-knee amputation.
This hands-on experience helped students connect the historical foundations of sterile processing with the modern techniques and practices they are learning in both the classroom and clinical settings.
