Lumen Christi’s public events throughout Chicagoland touch the hearts of many. It is your presence–Lumen Christi’s faithful friends–that makes these gatherings what they are: engaging and rooted in a shared desire to explore the wisdom of Catholic thought and spirituality.
Yet many participants do not know that it is their support that allows us to sustain and expand these programs.
Your gift by June 30 will support their continuatio--and all gifts up to 5,000 will be matched!
Thank you for nourishing the intellectual dimension of this community.

Christ calls His followers into friendship with one another, so that they might seek His wisdom and His eternal life together. Each person in this community deepens our pursuit of truth.
By making a gift by June 30th, you will enrich a living community of Catholic thinkers.
This spring, we need 67 new or renewed supporters to reach our goal of 400 total donors this year. Every gift – of any size – sustains our mission. Thank you!

Calling all high schoolers!
Join us on the beautiful grounds of Mundelein Seminary for a week of exploring the Western and Catholic intellectual tradition as we examine together the rich theme of the journey. In our expedition together—alongside the likes of such adventurers as Odysseus, Augustine, Dante, Bonaventure, Teresa of Avila, and Don Quixote—we will consider what it means to set out as sojourners and pilgrims longing for a true homeland in which we’ve never lived, to act heroically in the face of a broken world, and finally to return home to God, accepting the call to be saints.

APPLY BY MAY 31: The Fons Vitae Institute is hosting a three-day seminar to examine what has long been called the “contraceptive mentality,” along with new challenges related to in vitro fertilization (IVF).
From the outset, the Magisterium of the Catholic Church has warned of the potential negative consequences of separating union from reproduction intrinsic to both contraception and IVF. The emerging field of restorative reproductive medicine, on the other hand, focuses on diagnosing and treating underlying causes of reproductive problems, aiming to restore natural function.
Students will encounter theological, epidemiologic, clinical, and pastoral experts to spur us toward a robust dialogue about reproductive medicine in its personal and social context in the twenty-first century and, ultimately, how to improve the health of couples, children, and families while also promoting the common good of society as a whole, especially those who are socio-economically disadvantaged.
The application closes on May 31. Participants will be admitted on a rolling basis; applicants are therefore encouraged to apply early.
