Hello 👋🏽
Learning Journeys fans!
Because I am an independent educator,
it’s my responsibility to stay informed about the latest topics of discussion in education.
I follow several education related websites so I can participate in professional development opportunities on a regular basis.
The topic of this one,
DYSCALCULIA,
was especially
interesting because recently I have encountered students who have trouble with anything related to numbers.
So, I deemed it necessary to delve into the topic since I suspected there was a deeper problem, more than just
“I don’t understand” issues.
I learned a lot from this online discussion with professionals in the field, and encourage independent educators to always seek out these types of opportunities in order to stay current👍🏽

Hello parents & educators.
I used this resource as a Christmas vacation assignment for some of my home school students. They get to choose at least 4 tasks according to their interests. A writing assignment is attached to this and I’m hoping some independent study comes out of the experience as well. It’s just an interesting way to keep them engaged over the holidays.✅
