Elgin Police Department Meets With the Burhan Academy leadership to Discuss Safety Measures
Commander Scott and Officer Raymond Payne from the Elgin Police Department visited Burhan Academy yesterday to discuss campus safety protocols and security measures with the academy administration.
During the meeting, academy officials requested increased police patrolling around the school and mosque campus in light of growing safety concerns. The police department responded positively and assured the academy of its continued support and cooperation in maintaining a safe environment for students, staff, and community members.
As part of the ongoing safety initiatives, an active shooter preparedness drill has also been scheduled for August in coordination with local law enforcement authorities.
Burhan Academy expressed appreciation for the Elgin Police Department’s commitment to community safety and its proactive engagement with local institutions.

Historic Day for the Burhan Academy Blazers ⚽️🔥
Alhamdulillah, today marked a historic milestone for Burhan Academy — our very first official athletic event!
Our Blazers proudly hosted and competed against two outstanding Islamic schools, the Islamic Foundation Chargers and the CPSA Thunder, at the Burhan Academy Sports Complex.
It was a day filled with teamwork, sportsmanship, and unity — a true celebration of Muslim youth athletics.
On behalf of BA and the Athletic department; A heartfelt thank you to our guests, their athletic directors Dr. Ali (Islamic Foundation) and Humza Bhatti (CPSA), for joining us and making the event memorable.
Special appreciation to our own Athletic Director, Coach Cliff Paul, and Soccer Coach Hisham Arafat for leading the way and setting a new standard for excellence.
