rodas de choro (Choro jam sessions) for interested musicians of all levels of experience.
The Chicago Choro Club was founded in September 2015 by Julie Koidin, with a mission to spread the joy of Choro, a Brazilian music tradition and cultural treasure, to the Chicago music community and beyond. In addition to our regularly scheduled rodas de choro, we try to organize special rodas to welcome our friends visiting from out of town. Last month, we had a delightful evening roda with Chicago Choro Club's founder, flutist Julie Koidin. Earlier this week we welcomed Thiago Favano, another flutist from Brazil by way of Boston. Thank you Julie and Thiago for making music and inspiring us!
