Diana Lehman is urging our community to join her in stepping up.

"I volunteered at the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, proudly representing NLU as an alumna. NLU's commitment to service instilled in me a sense of social responsibility that has followed me long past graduation — from years of food bank volunteering in Illinois to now beginning a new chapter in Raleigh. In just three hours, fellow volunteers and I sorted and packed 21,000 pounds of zucchini and squash, providing an estimated 17,500 meals. I encourage fellow NLU alumni in the area to join me — our neighbors need us."

Some things are so good, you have to experience it twice. For Christie, that happened to be her time at NLU.

"I loved my experience at NLU so much I chose to do it twice. When I got my Masters I discovered that every single assignment was practical and beneficial in my daily work at the district level in a large school district. A few years later, I transitioned to a position in an educational non-profit and felt like I was in the perfect position to study the implementation of a system so I came back to get my doctorate. My degrees from NLU have opened doors I didn’t even know existed."

Our Chicago graduation ceremonies took place this weekend and we couldn’t be more proud to see our graduates cross the stage. Graduation ceremonies are today and tomorrow for our Illinois grads and June 13 for our Tampa campus.

The Office of Student Engagement at National Louis University hosted a special dedication to honor graduating students who identify as first-generation college students. Being the first in a family to earn a college degree is a monumental triumph, and this celebration served as a formal recognition of the resilience, hard work, and determination it took to reach this milestone. It was a dedicated moment to shine a spotlight not only on the graduates' incredible academic achievements but also on the families, friends, mentors, and communities whose unwavering love and support made this historic success possible.
