Meet your 2026 Commencement Speaker, Lily Kate Cobb! ๐ŸŽ“

At The Theatre School, Lily found a creative home in Chicago, a cohort of fellow playwrights who challenged and inspired her, and confidence in writing as herself:

โ€œWhen I brought in my writing, no one was asking me to be a specific kind of playwright. They just wanted me to write like Lily Kate. We were never asked to be anything else, just who we are... Itโ€™s been incredible seeing each member of my cohort grow into their own voices. โ€

Weโ€™re proud to celebrate Lily Kate Cobb and the rest of DePaul University's Class of 2026!

Director Reshmi Hazra Rustebakke shares how Mirror of Most Value: A Ms. Marvel Play encourages young audiences to embrace who they are, support their communities, and find strength in authenticity.

Through Kamalaโ€™s journey, the play reminds us that even when things feel difficult, there is power in showing up for yourself and for others.

There is still time to see Mirror of Most Value before it closes this Saturday!
