Not only do we serve children as young as 6 weeks at Kids First, but we also have a variety of opportunities for our littlest friends!

Cheer, Swim, Tumble Bees, and Dance all offer classes for kids under 6! What's even more awesome is that our friends involved in these activities are doing some BIG multitasking as they move! Kids involved in gross motor activities not only build the physical strength needed to succeed in school but also begin to develop the neural pathways they will need as they tackle challenges like reading, writing, and early math concepts!

Putting your preschooler in a sport at Kids First is BIG BRAINED!

Kids First coaches shape children's lives far beyond the gym. Our ultimate goal, our guiding principle, the single thought that drives everything we do from programming to the way we interact with the children is…to help kids grow into happy, healthy, responsible adults. It's that simple.

Start here. Go anywhere.

SUPPORT YOUR CHILD IN BECOMING A WELL-ROUNDED ATHLETE. START HERE:

Kids need to engage in various athletic skills to foster comprehensive athletic growth! Elements like strength, sprinting, jumping, bounding, stability, mobility, coordination, proprioception, flexibility, and direction change contribute significantly to a strong athletic base.

✔️ Promote participation in multiple sports rather than concentrating on just one too soon.

✔️ Introduce your child to diverse activities to cultivate a broad spectrum of movement skills (running, jumping, twisting).

✔️ Emphasize essential movement skills. Pursuits such as dance, ninja training, swimming, martial arts, and gymnastics enhance body awareness, balance, and coordination.

Did you know we were pretty much trendsetters in the U.S. with our foam pits? Jeff Metzger, our founder, loves to share this cool fact: “I heard about these gyms in the Soviet Union that had pits packed with foam rubber, and I thought, I’ve got to get me one of those!”

At Kids First, we’ve got not one, but FIVE foam pits! Sure, they might eat a sock or two now and then, but they’re perfect for sensory fun and providing a soft landing for our athletes as they progress their skills.
