Music Resource Center - Cincinnati

Last week, our Musician Camp students spent five days forming bands, writing original songs, rehearsing together, and ultimately performing their music live for family and friends.

We are incredibly proud of each student for stepping outside their comfort zone, collaborating with their peers, and bringing their creative ideas to life.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the showcase and supported these young artists. Summer is off to a great start at MRC, and we can’t wait for what’s next!

Day 1 of Summer Camps

Today, campers formed bands, got to know their bandmates, and started writing original songs together. Over the next four days, they’ll continue developing their music and preparing for Friday’s showcase performance.

We’re excited to see these ideas take shape and can’t wait to hear what they create!

This week, we welcome this summer’s first group of Musician Campers! Our staff is all hands on deck for camp so, there won’t be any Open Studio for this week — June 8-12.

Open Studio hours will resume on Monday, June 15 and continue through July 2.

Our new Mobile Music Production and Recording Rig is helping us bring creativity directly into schools and community spaces across Greater Cincinnati.

Thanks to support from through a Catalyzing Impact Grant, we’re expanding access to music technology, creative expression, and recording arts education for young people who may not otherwise have these opportunities.

We’re grateful for the investment in our students and communities, and for helping us expand access to meaningful arts experiences.

Last month, we gathered for our 2nd Annual Decibel Awards to celebrate our graduating seniors and devoted volunteers who make the Music Resource Center such a special community.
