The Saint Ursula Academy Counseling Department is committed to providing compassionate, confidential care and social-emotional support to our students. Our counselors offer a comprehensive program to proactively address the stress and anxiety young women face today and equip all students with tools and resources to learn more about themselves and the impact they will make on our world.

Students are introduced to our Counseling Department from their very semester on campus as they participate in a required Freshman Seminar. This Freshman Seminar class targets mental health education, school-readiness skills, and cultural readiness. The class provides a safe forum for students to learn about and discuss current and relevant topics impacting their social-emotional and academic development. Each weekly topic offers education through a speaker, counselor-led discussion in a small group, and community outreach activities.

Recently, SUA Student Success Counselor Jenna Wilker was asked to share her expertise about the Freshman Seminar Course with ASCA (American School Counseling Association) School Counselor Magazine! Her article was published as a resource for other school counselors, and she will be presenting at the ASCA National Conference this summer.

We are fortunate to have such a great program at SUA, spearheaded by such a great counseling team! Congratulations to Jenna!

Saint Ursula Academy was nominated for the national award after being submitted as a candidate by a subscriber. A panel of experts and the Education Insider editorial board further evaluated SUA and other nominees, and after researching more about the strong academic and Catholic education Saint Ursula consistently provides, SUA was named the sole recipient of the award for this year.

Saint Ursula Academy is proud to share that 10 students have been accepted into the TAP Summer Health Program through Cincinnati’s Health Collaborative. TAP Health is The Health Collaborative’s signature career-pipeline initiative for high school students.

The signature program is designed to begin to build the next generation of healthcare professionals by connecting students directly with employers, educators, and training programs across the Greater Cincinnati region. TAP Health Summer Academy (THSA) provides a summer-long series of immersive programs designed to help students discover where their interests and strengths might lead them in healthcare.

The V.P. of Communications is responsible for developing and implementing mission-based communication strategies that support the strategic, educational, and spiritual goals of Saint Ursula Academy. The role also oversees the school’s brand across all departments and ensures continuity, alignment, and consistency in messaging throughout the organization. This is a full-time position and reports to the President.

Laurence Jones, the Saint Ursula Academy chairman of the Board of Trustees and retiring President Lelia Keefe Kramer ’77 are excited to introduce Jill Grever Cahill ’84 as its new President. A search committee consisting of Saint Ursula Academy Board members, faculty, staff, past and current parents, and experts in their fields spent months reviewing and interviewing candidates for this important role. Jill, a graduate of Saint Ursula Academy, will assume her new role on June 1, 2026.

Jill brings more than 17 years of experience at Saint Ursula Academy, serving as Vice President of Communications and a member of the school’s leadership team. Jill was actively involved in mission-driven decisions that positively impacted our community, specifically our students. Her professional experience and skillset allow SUA to move forward with confidence, continuing our commitment to the highest standards of academic excellence and to the Catholic, Ursuline mission that is at the foundation.
