Every fall, the Forest Hills Foundation for Education is honored to recognize Forest Hills alumni from Anderson and Turpin High Schools as well as a Forest Hills School District staff member who have distinguished themselves in their lives and in their careers.

Sherwood teachers Andy Baker and Rob Hampton received a 2025 Foundation Teacher Grant that supported the purchase of guitars, amps, and drums for their brand new Archers Rock! program.

Archers Rock! enhances musical literacy, fosters collaboration and creativity, and builds confidence among 4th-6th grade students. Notably, this program includes students who may not engage with traditional music programs.

Forest Hills is hosting two sessions of Camp Invention this summer. 24 student scholarships were made possible thanks to Foundation supporters!

Guided by local educators, students are spending their week...

~ Exploring the inner workings of a robotic capybara

~ Solving critter crime scenes with forensic science

~ Conducting hands-on buoyancy experiments to help them build a innovative billboard boat and conduct market research

~ Creating inventions to transform a planet's atmosphere, terrain and ecosystems for human habitation

~ Designing a wearable device that incorporates cryptography

~ Building their creative mindset while collaborating with a team!

This was a wonderful collaboration supporting students as they start their college application journeys!
