Across the United States, Marta Berglund ‘21 is using her degree to tell stories. After majoring in DIFT and French, Marta has worked as a TV news anchor and reporter in Michigan, Illinois and Virginia. She’s done award-winning investigative work, covered the visits of U.S. Presidents and taken part in multiple community outreach programs.

BREAKING NEWS: Xavier University College of Medicine is officially the first Jesuit College of Osteopathic Medicine in the country.

The Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation has approved Xavier to start training the next generation of osteopathic doctors in fall 2027.

“Today we celebrate a transformative milestone extending far beyond Xavier’s campus,” said President Colleen Hanycz. “Our new medical college represents Xavier’s direct response to a critical national need for primary care physicians, built on a curriculum tailored to the evolving demands of modern medicine.”

“We are now focused on inviting a pioneering class of medical students, who are energized by and ready to embrace Xavier’s mission and ensuring they are uniquely equipped to embark on bigger lives through their chosen profession.”
