While summer has just begun, we’re already working behind the scenes to make next year the best one yet for our Bobcats. We can’t wait to share what’s ahead!

🌟 Congratulations to Our Substitute of the Year! 🌟

Tonight, we were proud to celebrate Katelyn Maulsby, who was recognized at the district’s Substitute of the Year banquet!

Throughout this school year, Katelyn has served the students of Belcher with incredible consistency, compassion, and dedication. She is often one of the first people to arrive on campus, patiently waiting to greet and support her student each day. From helping her student achieve academic goals to providing guidance during transitions throughout the school day, Katelyn’s positive impact is felt every day.

Beyond her assigned responsibilities, Katelyn is always willing to lend a helping hand - whether assisting in the front office or stepping in wherever support is needed. Her kindness, flexibility, and commitment to our school community make her an invaluable part of the Bobcat family.

This is our final weekly update of the 2025–2026 school year! Thank you for your partnership, support, and encouragement throughout the year. We are so proud of all our Bobcats and grateful for the amazing families who make our school community so special.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Reminder
There will be no school for students on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.

🎒 Backpack Reminder
There will be no backpacks allowed on campus this week, with the exception of our PreK students.

⏰ Last Day of School
The last day of school for students is Thursday, May 28th. This will be an early release day, with students dismissed at 12:55 PM.

💙 Thank You, Bobcat Families!
Thank you to all of our Bobcat families who came out for our Start of Summer Picnic yesterday! It was a wonderful afternoon filled with food, fun, music, and activities. A special thank you to our amazing PTA for sponsoring this event and helping make it such a success!

📚 FAST Math Assessments (Grades 3–5)
This is our last full week of school for the 2025–2026 school year, and our students in grades 3–5 will be taking their FAST Math Assessments. Please help set your child up for success by making sure they:
✔️ Get a good night’s rest
✔️ Eat a healthy breakfast
✔️ Arrive to school on time

We know our Bobcats are ready to do their best!

📅 End of Year Reminders
Next week will be our final week of school. Please remember there will be no school on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.

Thank you so much to everyone who supported Teacher Appreciation Week at Belcher. It was a huge success! We are so grateful for your kind words, thoughtful gifts, treats, and encouragement throughout the week. Our staff truly felt celebrated and appreciated, and we thank you for helping make the week so special.

🌞 Start of Summer Picnic – Saturday, May 16
Our Start of Summer Picnic is coming up this Saturday, May 16! Families of both current and incoming students are invited to join us for an afternoon of food, games, and music.

📍 Please note:

Attendees should wear closed-toe shoes appropriate for exercise
Due to new PCS policy, there will be no water-based activities
Families are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to enjoy the festivities on the grass

📚 State Testing Update
Our students in grades 3–5 have been working incredibly hard on their state assessments. We are proud of their effort and perseverance! Results will be shared with families soon, so please be on the lookout. We have two more weeks of testing ahead of us.

🔥 Safety Drill Practice
Last week, we conducted our instructional fire drill to practice safety procedures. Students and staff did an excellent job following all safety expectations and procedures.

Finally, we would like to wish all of our amazing mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures a very Happy Mother’s Day! Thank you for the love, support, and care you provide to our Bobcats each and every day. We hope you enjoy a wonderful and well-deserved celebration! 💙
