After a day off due to no wind and storms Wednesday put us back on the water for day two of racing at Hobie 14 north Americans. with winds of 10 to 15 racing was tight and we got four more races in the books.

After the races we were treated to an exciting presentation on what Hobie is doing for the new Global version of Hobie 14 with an emphasis on sail upgrades.

Finally we were treated to a Mongolian BBQ for dinner courtesy of Hobie Division 15.

Day one saw four races with gusty conditions. Doug finished 12th and I finished 14th.Good sailing and the breezes and flat waters made it a great day on the water in Fort Walton at the Hobie 14 North Americans.

This week finds us in Fort Walton beach for Hobie 14 north americans. Sundays are always busy as we get tye boats together and tuned up before registration. We were able to get in two practice races after dodging a few pop up thunderstorms.

It feels good to get the 14 back on the water against such a talented group of sailors.

Im planning to sail at noon in Clermont tomorrow. I'll be around earlier to work on some mowing too. My goal is to get the 14 in the water for practice for north americans in a few weeks.

First official day of Madcatter is over. We had a distance race on Thursday where we were first to the far mark and then lost some places coming back to finish 6th.

Friday started with a skippers meeting and a chance to tag up with old friends. Then two races after a short pause to wait for the wind to fill in. Im in 17th currently against a very challenging fleet of 42 boats.

The party then started with a Hobie fashion show were a lot of gear was modeled by our own sailors. it was a ton of fun.
