📍 Cleveland ISD Leadership Engages at TASB Summer Leadership Institute

Cleveland ISD Board Members and Superintendent Dr. Glenn Barnes recently joined educational leaders from across Texas at the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Summer Leadership Institute. This annual conference provides school leaders with valuable opportunities to learn, collaborate, and explore innovative strategies that support student success and strengthen public education.

Throughout the conference, district leaders participated in sessions focused on governance, student achievement, school safety, workforce readiness, legislative updates, and community engagement. The knowledge and insights gained will help guide Cleveland ISD as we continue working to provide exceptional opportunities and outcomes for every student.

We are grateful for the dedication of our Board of Trustees and district leadership team as they invest their time in professional learning and strategic planning to ensure Cleveland ISD remains focused on excellence.

Together, we are moving Forward Together to create brighter futures for all students.

✅ Summer Camp & Summer Meals Resume Tomorrow
Cleveland ISD Summer Camp and Summer Meals will resume on Thursday, June 18, 2026, under their normal operating schedules.

⚾️ Congratulations to Ivan Gonzalez on his commitment to continue his academic and athletic journey at Texas College!

Ivan will be taking his talents to Tyler, Texas, where he will proudly represent the Steers on the baseball field. We are excited to see all that he accomplishes at the next level and wish him continued success both in the classroom and on the diamond field.

⚠️ Weather Update: Wednesday, June 17, 2026 ⚠️

Due to anticipated weather conditions in our area and out of an abundance of caution, Cleveland ISD will close all Summer Camp activities at Southside Elementary, Santa Fe Elementary, Cleveland Middle School, Santa Fe Middle School, and Cleveland High School on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

In addition, the following camps will be rescheduled:
• Indian Camp for incoming 9th-grade students at Cleveland High School
• Step Up Camp for incoming 6th-grade students at Cleveland Middle School and Santa Fe Middle School

The safety of our students, staff, and families remains our highest priority. We are actively monitoring weather conditions and will continue to evaluate the forecast for Thursday, June 18, 2026. Any updates regarding district activities will be communicated through our official communication channels.

Debido a las condiciones climáticas previstas en nuestra área y por precaución, Cleveland ISD cancelará todas las actividades de Campamento de Verano en Southside Elementary, Santa Fe Elementary, Cleveland Middle School, Santa Fe Middle School y Cleveland High School el miércoles, 17 de junio de 2026.

Además, los siguientes campamentos serán reprogramados:

During yesterday's school board meeting, we honored our students for their bravery and creativity.

🪖ROTC Cadets sprang into action when they encountered a distressed hiker, providing assistance and remaining by the individual's side until emergency medical personnel arrived.

🎨Congratulations to Santa Fe Middle School art students for receiving Regional Division 4 Rating of Superior during the UIL Junior Visual Arts Scholastic Event (Jr. VASE)
