Kingdom Men Fellowship Breakfast
What a powerful morning of fellowship, encouragement, and authentic connection among men committed to growing in their faith and leadership.
A special thank you to Pastor Bernell and the entire Greater Works Church team for their hospitality and for creating a space where men can come together, sharpen one another, and build meaningful relationships.
There is something powerful that happens when like-minded men gather with a shared desire to honor God, strengthen their families, and lead with purpose.

I recently hosted training for fathers on this topic.
Parenting Struggles: Understanding Your Kids' Behaviors & Leading Through Connection
The central theme was shifting from a control-based parenting approach to one rooted in emotional connection, self-awareness, and behavioral understanding.
Effective fatherhood requires shifting from control to connection, prioritizing the emotional relationship before attempting to correct behavior.
Great job to the dad in this video, love it!

The Ego and Edging God Out
In our Men of Vision Spiritual Growth, we opened the session by recounting a highway incident in which a driver merged aggressively into traffic without slowing down, forcing others to yield. This as a metaphor for how men — particularly Christian men — often force their own perspectives, agendas, and identities into situations without yielding to God or those around them.
Defined, the ego is a person's sense of self: how they view their abilities, their importance, and their place in the world.
There are two forms:
Healthy ego: Confidence without arrogance, recognition of both strengths and weaknesses, and personal accountability.
Unhealthy ego: The belief that one's way is always right, resistance to correction and accountability, and a constant drive for recognition and comparison with others.
From a Christian perspective, I argue that the ego becomes spiritually dangerous when self-reliance replaces dependency on God. Let's anchor this in scripture, Philippians 2:1–4, emphasizing the call to do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility to count others more significant than oneself.
Relevant Q&A
Question: Where does edging God out begin?
Answer: It begins by not going to God first — for needs, for wants, for direction. That is where the displacement starts.
Comment: As people become more educated and credentialed, there is a growing tendency to treat God as a backup plan rather than the first resource, because people increasingly believe they know best.

Today’s fathers don’t want to raise their children the way they were raised — but many don’t know how to lead differently.
The truth is:
This generation communicates differently.
They process emotions differently.
We are hosting a FREE Workshop to support fathers in understanding their kids.
