We are incredibly proud to celebrate her recent experience in Washington, D.C., where she spent several days collaborating with fellow Milken Educators from across the countryβsharing ideas, learning from one another, and representing excellence in education at the highest level.
As if that wasnβt exciting enough, Ms. Engel was also awarded her $25,000 Milken Educator Awardβan incredible and well-deserved recognition of her impact on students, colleagues, and our entire school community.

We are excited to announce that Mountain Vista Community School has been selected as the host site for the Colorado Association of Middle-Level Education (CAMLE) Annual Conference this September!
This is an incredible honor and a reflection of the strong work happening in our classrooms every day. We look forward to welcoming middle-level educators from across Colorado for a day of learning, collaboration, and inspiration right here on our campus.

AWARD WINNERS! Congratulations to the leadership, staff, and students at Mountain Vista Community School for receiving an Award of Excellence from the Colorado School Public Relations Association. School PR pros from across the country say the video about what Mountain Vista has to offer families is one of the best in the country! You can see the award in the photos below showing this project is now considered one of the top marketing projects in Colorado!
We have a lot to be proud of and people from across the country can definitely see why. Congratulations to all who were involved with this project under the leadership of Dr. Nicole Paxton!

The Elevate Summer Program is an engaging, hands-on STEM experience offered by Harrison School District 2 (D2) for students! Check out this fun and challenging project our D2 4th graders took on as part of the program. They designed awesome basketball courts and found ways to launch their mini basketballs through the hoops they created!

Creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship were on full display today in our Elevate Summer School Program! Our rising 7thβ9th grade students wrapped up an exciting Food Truck Project by presenting their unique business concepts after spending the week exploring entrepreneurship, marketing, budgeting, menu development, food truck design, and business operations.

We are proud to recognize Shannon Fitzgerald (5th Grade Math) and Chelsea Curl (3rd Grade Math) for being nominated for Teacher of the Year through the Colorado Department of Education! π
