We are proud to continue our longstanding partnership with the Colorado Department of Corrections on the Bureau of Justice Assistance Virtual Reality Training Initiative.

A program designed to enhance training for Community Parole Officers and safely practice responding to complex real-world situations through immersive VR technology. UCCS researchers will evaluate training outcomes alongside officer feedback and case management data to help refine resources to improve outcomes for officers, individuals under supervision, and the communities they serve.

Partnerships like this demonstrate how higher education and public service agencies can work together to develop innovative solutions that address today's public safety challenges while preparing professionals for tomorrow's needs.
