Shalom
It is with very heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of Dr. Marvin Beeman.
Our Littleton Equine family has been so lucky to have had three professional āfathersā who taught us how to care for both people and horses. Dr. Beeman lived and practiced with passion and wonder for the horse. His enthusiasm and joy were infectious and inspirational to all of us.
His decades of service, leadership and mentorship will leave a lasting impact on the horse industry and all of the lives that he touched. He will be missed as fiercely as he lived his life.

Volunteering is more than simply giving your timeāit is an investment in your community, your profession, and yourself. Every act of service adds to your "emotional bank account," the reserve of goodwill, trust, relationships, and personal fulfillment that sustains us during challenging times.
Just as with a financial bank account, withdrawals are difficult when no deposits have been made. Those who consistently volunteer, support others, and contribute to shared goals often find that help, opportunities, and encouragement are available when they need them most. Conversely, it is unrealistic to expect others to invest their time and energy on our behalf if we have never been willing to do the same for them.
While volunteering may not provide an immediate reward, it builds a foundation of mutual respect, professional connections, and community support. The more we contribute to others, the richer our emotional bank account becomesāand the stronger the community we all depend upon.

Mariska Hargitay has spent decades advocating for survivors of domestic violence. When she learned that 48ā50% of survivors delay leaving because they fear for their petsā safety, and that less than 20% of U.S. shelters accept animals, she knew she had to act .
She partnered with the Purple Leash Projectāa Purina and RedRover initiativeāto fund petāfriendly shelter renovations nationwide . The project has awarded over 60 grants, creating an estimated 282,825 safe nights for survivors and their pets .
āThe idea that a survivor has to choose between their own safety and the safety of their pet is just untenable,ā Hargitay said . āWe must do everything we can to support survivors [to] heal together.ā š¾š
