Most freshmen start the year with a syllabus. FVS freshmen start with a horse.
The Class of 2029 spent their first year saying yes to things they'd never tried before. They rode the Pikes Peak Cog Railway into the clouds, stood inside the stories at History Colorado, and saw Colorado through an artist's eyes at Denver Art Museum. At the Mountain Campus, Western Immersion Program experiences connected them to the land and to each other in ways a classroom never could.
Then came Interim. They scaled the climbing wall. Roped cattle. Carved through trails. They stood in the wide open spaces of the Great Sand Dunes National Park.
Along the way, they're discovering what they're made of. And they're just getting started. 🏔️🌾
