Chimney Childcare does a 6 week menu with organic and whole foods. Every week I supply the parents with a menu, shopping list and recipes. As much as kids love mac and cheese, this way they can avoid getting it for lunch and then dinner! 😋 This is the week we are currently in:
Week 4 (starting 6/8/26) - Menu, Shopping List and Recipes.

Every summer we do the Library's Summer Adventure Program. If you Read, Move and Imagine for 30 days, the library will reward you with a prize! We got to pick a free book just for signing up. I keep the kiddos record sheet visible, so they can see their progress. Because of how active our little group is, we can reach our goal pretty quickly. Which brings me to our Summer Curriculum. It is a little different because of the increase in field trips. We do our learning with the Library's Program, Learning Wall, ABCmouse.com, Mother Goose games/activities, Music/Movement and Play Time. In August, we will resume with normal Mother Goose Lessons. Once a month the Field Trips/Activities Calendar is posted for parents. Here is the June Calendar. I ask parents to look at all the fun events closely. I always try to keep the costs low AND on the lookout for discounts. Currently, I carry a membership to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Children’s Museum of Denver and The Science Fairy. I don't charge parents when we visit there. 🐒

The Science Fairy came to visit to teach us about Sound and Vibration. We enjoy the experiences we get from her hands-on STEM based activities. 👩‍🔬
