Congratulations to Joe Kovacs on an incredible performance yesterday 5/31 at the Rabat Diamond League in Morocco.
Joe captured the win with a world-leading throw of 22.58 meters (74 feet 1 inch), setting a new meet record and defeating one of the strongest shot put fields in the world.
The results are impressive, but those who know Joe understand that the performance is simply a reflection of who he is. He is a tremendous father, a genuinely good person, and one of the fiercest competitors you will ever meet. The discipline, consistency, and commitment he brings to everything he does continue to inspire those around him.
We are grateful to play a very small part in his journey and could not be happier for him. Seeing his hard work pay off on one of the sport’s biggest stages is incredibly rewarding.
Today’s performance was outstanding, but Joe would be the first to tell you that this is only one small step toward a much bigger goal. The mission remains the same: earning Olympic gold at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Today’s result is a powerful reminder that goal is well within reach.
Men’s Shot Put Results
Joe Kovacs (USA) – 22.58m (74’1”) – World Lead, Meeting Record
Ryan Crouser (USA) – 21.59m (70’10”)
Jordan Geist (USA) – 21.56m (70’9”)
Congratulations, Joe!
