Happy Juneteenth!
Today, we join our neighbors in remembering June 19, 1865—the day when the last enslaved African Americans in the United States learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
As followers of Christ, we rejoice in the dignity and value of every human life. We remember that all people are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), and true freedom is found in Christ, who has set us free from sin and death (John 8:36).
On this day of reflection and celebration, we thank God for the progress made and pray for continued healing, unity, and love in our communities.
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” — Micah 6:8 (NIV)
May we reflect the light of Christ in how we love and serve others—today and always.

🎓 Congratulations to Kylie, Xavier, and Katie — three St. Paul's alumni who graduated from Michigan Lutheran Seminary this weekend!
We are so proud of these three. They've grown in faith, character, and so much more over the years, and it's just wonderful to get to celebrate this moment with them.
Kylie and Katie are the daughters of Tammy Stewart, and as a family, The Stewarts have been a beloved part of our St. Paul's Lutheran Church community for years — which makes celebrating this moment together even sweeter!
And we have to give a special shoutout to Katie, who received The Robert Kaschinske Distinguished Service Award. This honor goes to just one female and one male student at MLS — students who showed outstanding service throughout their time there. Katie, you earned this. We couldn't be more proud of you! 🏆
Kylie, Xavier, and Katie — we love you and we're cheering you on. Can't wait to see where God leads you next. ❤️
