ATTENTION Pre-Law Students and Aspiring Attorneys:
DO NOT LET PROCRASTINATION AND DELAY DERAIL YOUR LAW SCHOOL AMBITIONS!!!
Perhaps the single biggest mistake students make in studying for the LSAT is the easiest to fix: waiting too long to being preparing for the exam.
Cramming for the LSAT in two or even three months is a recipe for disaster. Just don't do it.
Delaying late summer or (worse) fall will inevitably result in a score that is far lower than you are capable of ... which will inevitably result in having to pay far more for law school than you would have had to pay had you started earlier ... which will inevitably result in student loan debt that is far greater and will take far longer to pay off had you started earlier.
The time to start preparing for the October LSAT is NOW!! Not in August. Not after your summer vacation ... NOW!!!
I have a class (BOTH ONLINE AND IN PERSON) targeting the October/November exam dates that starts on July 12.
If you are serious about LSAT prep and serious about getting into a top law school (and paying as little as possible for the privilege), then ask me for the specifics of my course.
The clock is ticking. Your competitors for seats at the best schools and for merit aid gearing up to prepare for the and OCTOBER exams. You should be too.
We have assisted more than 1500 students prepare for the LSAT and select the law school that best suits their professional ambitions. Our students attain an average score of 166 on the exam, and more than 200 have exceeded 170 on the exam.
If you are interested, please IM me or give me a ring at 786-333-7909 to reserve your spot.
ENROLL NOW BEFORE ALL SPOTS ARE TAKEN (because they are going to be taken).

It is June. That means that for students in the Class of 2028 is ONLY FOUR MONTHS away. The problem is this: your rising Juniors are NOWHERE NEAR ready for the exam.
I keep harping on this, but it is undeniably (and, tragically) true:
COVID left HUGE gaps in some essential areas of math - things like percents, rates, ratios and factoring. These skills are ALL OVER the PSAT. They are vital skills, skills your Sophomore will need on ANY standardized test they take next year or the year after.
Stanford University (which has studied the academic impact of COVID more thoroughly than any institution on the planet) estimates that your Sophomores are ALMOST ALL (yes, ALL) a FULL YEAR behind where they should be in basic math. Yes, they can understand functions and proofs, but most of them struggle with factoring, rates. percents and fractions. Seriously, some of these kids treat fractions the way medieval villagers treated lepers: avoid, avoid, avoid.
But, fret not. I would never to point out a problem without offering a solution: let's get your rising Juniors into a test prep program NOW ... RIGHT NOW.
Let's help them close the math gaps (and grammar gaps- some of these kids, again, through ZERO fault of their own, have NO IDEA what to do with a semicolon) that emerged during COVID.
Let's help them build their skills and their confidence at a manageable pace—one that reflects the reality of where they are versus where they need to be.
LET'S GIVE THEM A REAL SHOT A NATIONAL MERIT RECOGNITION, because National Merit recognition is largely the product of one thing: EFFORT.
Once again, I am ALWAYS eager to speak with parents, students, coaches and counselors about the irrefutable benefits of beginning SAT/ACT prep early.
My number is 786-333-7090. Feel free to share it because you will be doing your rising Juniors graders a solid.

Collegebound To-Do List for the Week of June 23-29:
For students and parents of the Class of 2027, the time to begin applying to college has arrived.
The actions you take and the decisions you make over the next six to ten weeks can – and probably will – have professional and financial consequences that will last for the next decade or two of your life (PARENTS INCLUDED).
So, in order to reduce your levels of anxiety and to give you some sense of direction and purpose for the next several weeks, I will be supplementing my normal up-dates with weekly To-Do lists for BOTH students and parents.
I can assure you that by following these weekly task lists, you can reduce the stress and anxiety that often (quite unnecessarily) accompanies the college application process.
BY NO LATER THAN 9:00 PM on JUNE 29th, you should:
1) Create accounts for the Common Application and the Coalition Application
2) Fill out ALL of the information that you can in both the Common Application and Coalition Application. Do NOT put this off. These applications are comprehensive and time-consuming. Get them out of the way NOW!!! Delaying completion will only cut into valuable SAT/ACT prep time and college essay writing.
And, parents, your students need YOUR help with this task. The Common Application and Coalition Application BOTH ask detailed questions about YOU and YOUR educational, professional and demographic backgrounds. Be ready and willing to help. Also…you parents are necessary to prove residency in Florida. So, again, be available to help.
3) Decide on a primary essay topic…NOW!!! But here is the thing: do NOT feel constrained by the prompts.
No, SERIOUSLY, do NOT feel constrained by the prompts. The folks at Common App and Coalition App freely admit that the prompts are NOT questions to be answered but rather suggestions to get you thinking about the story that YOU want to tell. Anyone who tells you otherwise doesn’t know a damn thing about the college admissions process…PERIOD.
As for school–specific prompts, those are governed by an entirely different set of rules, and we will address those NEXT week.
If you cannot think of an essay topic (the crap you wrote in May to satisfy an English class assignment does NOT count as having an essay by the way), MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH ME. We will brainstorm and get you working in a productive manner. This is my 30th college-admissions cycle…I’ve kinda got the hang of this.
4) Make an appointment to see me. Your college list is probably NOT as well-conceived as it can or should be…TRUST ME. I have spent 31 years studying virtually every aspect of every program of every college in the nation; I like research…a lot. Be smart and take advantage of the resources that we can pool.
5) Register for the July ACT and/or the August SAT. Those of you applying for “selective” and “highly selective” colleges MUST choose the WRITING OPTION.
6) Do your SAT/ACT homework. TOO many of you are fixating on nonsense like FASTWEB.COM for financial aid. STOP IT. It is a silly waste of your time at this point. The TWO most significant things you can do in the coming week to increase your financial aid awards are a) work on getting your SAT/ACT scores higher, as they generally are the largest single factor that a school considers in making financial aid awards (yes, scores matter more than do grades for MONEY decisions…grades are a big deal for ADMISSIONS decisions) and b) selecting the right schools to apply to. The financial aid landscape has changed dramatically in the last few years. Some schools are far more generous than others. It makes sense to use the latest financial information available in selecting your school.
So, there you have it for this week.
Get to work and get to class!!!
Best,
Sean Lynch

Attention Parents of Rising Seniors:
Your kids have to start applying to college in less than 60 days ... LESS THAN SIXTY DAYS ... and almost NONE OF THEM have the scores they need for the schools they want OR for the full Florida Bright Futures Scholarship.
So, I am here, once again, to offer those Rising Seniors a lifeline: a
summer of intensive SAT/ACT prep classes with both in person, remote and hybrid options.
Rising Seniors will
- Meet with me THREE DAYS PER WEEK for 75-minute sessions (anything longer is, well, just not supported by the science);
- Receive DAILY short drills (10 to 15 minutes in length) to reinforce fundamental skills and frequently tested topics;
- Receive WEEKLY longer, comprehensive drills to assess progress and identify areas that need additional attention;
- Take bi-weekly full-length diagnostic exams to build endurance and mastery of the subject matter;
- Complete weekly homework assignments consisting of materials relevant to success on the exams.
- Get realistic feedback and positive coaching to enhance competence and confidence on high-stakes tests.
- Have someone in their corner who cares deeply about their success on these exams. (I have few friends and no hobbies ... I live for THIS!!!)
The course will run from the student's chosen start date until such time as each student (in consultation with parents) reaches their maximum score potential ... all for one (REASONABLE) price - $1250 (which includes ALL materials and up to 24 weeks of test prep.)
Know this: I AM READY, WILLING AND ABLE TO HELP. Almost ALL of my current Juniors are or soon will be done with testing ...and have scored or will score in the top 10%. Let me do the same for YOUR current Juniors.
Once again, my number is 786-333-7909, and I am ALWAYS available to discuss the benefits of my particular approach to test prep with any parent, teacher, counselor or administrator.
