Sirens, paws, and plenty of learning! 🚓

Pivot Riverside students in grades 9–12 recently visited the Upland Police Department for a behind-the-scenes look at its K-9 program. 🐾

During the visit, students learned about the training, skills, and responsibilities of police K-9s and their handlers. They had the opportunity to see firsthand how these highly trained teams work together to support public safety and serve the community. 🤝

Thank you to the Upland Police Department for welcoming our students and providing an engaging and educational experience. 💙

Student Spotlight: Malak Amer 🌟

Congratulations to Pivot Riverside student Malak Amer on receiving the 2026 Barbara Hale Exceptional Scholar Award! 👏

This award recognizes Riverside County charter school students who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, perseverance, and academic achievement. The Barbara Hale Exceptional Scholar Award is presented to one graduating senior from each participating charter school who has achieved exceptional success while overcoming extraordinary circumstances.

Malak graduated a year early and has excelled through dual enrollment, academic determination, all with a clear vision for a future in Art Conservation.

We're proud of all you've accomplished, Malak! 🎉

Pivot Riverside students had a blast welcoming the Corona Fire Department to campus. From learning important fire safety tips to exploring a real fire truck, students got a firsthand look at what it takes to keep our community safe.

Thank you to the firefighters for taking the time to share their knowledge and serve our community every day.
