💦 Talk About It Tuesday 💦

As summer fun continues, let’s talk about something that can make a life-saving difference: water safety.

Whether it’s a pool, lake, river, splash pad, or even standing water, accidents can happen quickly and quietly. Taking time to teach children basic water safety skills and ensuring they are always supervised around water can help keep summer memories happy and safe.

Some important reminders:
✅ Never leave children unattended near water.
✅ Designate a responsible “water watcher.”
✅ Wear properly fitted life jackets when appropriate.
✅ Learn basic swimming and water safety skills.
✅ Talk with your children about water safety before every outing.

We’re excited to share this FREE Safety Around Water Clinic offered through the YMCA for children ages 5-12. This program helps kids build confidence in and around water while learning important safety skills.

Please keep the Ashley family in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️

There are simply no words that can make sense of a loss like this. The sudden and unexpected loss of a husband and father leaves a void that is impossible to comprehend.

Our hearts are broken for Mrs. Ashley and her children as they navigate an unimaginable loss. As a former teacher at Locust Grove Elementary, Mrs. Ashley has touched the lives of so many students, families, and staff members. She has been an important part of our school community, and today we grieve alongside her and all who love their family.

Please join us in lifting the Ashley family up in prayer during the difficult days, weeks, and months ahead. This loss reaches far beyond their immediate family. It is felt by the many friends, neighbors, coworkers, former students, fellow parents, and community members whose lives have been touched by the Ashley family. Through their kindness, friendships, and involvement in our community, they have made a lasting impact on so many.

As we pray for strength and comfort for Mrs. Ashley and her children, let us also remember their extended family, friends, and all those who are grieving this tremendous loss. May they be surrounded by love, supported by their community, and reminded that they do not have to walk this road alone. In the days ahead, may we continue to show up for them, offer encouragement, share memories, and extend grace and support as they face the difficult journey ahead.
