A tasty to Tamale Day! Students enjoyed chicken tomatillo tamales from Padrino Foods served with Mexican white rice, refried beans or charro beans, and fresh pico de gallo. Can we all admire this student’s beautiful tray, complete with fresh milk, a colorful green salad, and a banana?!

June is , so let's to take another look at our Texas Fruit & Vegetable Day celebration in April! Students at Charles R. Drew Elementary School explored rainbow carrots, blood oranges, and Asian pears while discovering fun facts about what makes each fruit and veggie unique!
