🛑 Telehealth Access is on the Chopping Block: Sign the Petition!
POV: You've been seeing your trusted telehealth doctor for years, managing your ADHD or other condition successfully. Suddenly, your pharmacy won't fill your prescription because of where your doctor lives or the complexity of changing federal rules. This is not how healthcare should work.

We are heading toward a "Telehealth Cliff" as pandemic-era prescribing flexibilities wind down, leaving millions of established patients with ADHD, anxiety, and other conditions stranded without access to necessary controlled medications.

A physician who has experienced this struggle firsthand is petitioning the government to:

Stop Pharmacies from denying legal prescriptions based on arbitrary geographic boundaries.

Make Telehealth Permanent and give it equal weight to in-person consultations for established patients who need consistent, long-term care.

This is about protecting patient health and removing senseless barriers to essential care!

Don't let policy confusion interrupt your treatment. If you rely on telehealth or believe healthcare should be accessible, sign the petition today and share this post!

Devang Patel on LinkedIn: Long COVID: Mitochondria, the Big Miss, and Hope 08/17/2023

I'm very displeased by the fact that the Mayo Clinic was offered so much funding and was unable to innovate. My own doctor would not diagnose me even though I brought in all the documentation needed to confirm my symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis. I was just accepted into the Long COVID clinic at Mayo because I felt like no one was listening to me. It was my family that encouraged me to push on and not consider myself broken so I cancelled the appointment. The very next day, the report came out about the MASSIVE NIH RECOVER failure.

I am on limited income, I was fired from my job that I was very good at, and just the plane ticket to the Jacksonville Florida Mayo location was $450 which I don't have. I am very angry and I've never felt this helpless before.

I've spent a career taking care of the most complicated patients and now my attention has turned to Long COVID. One of my patients was a high level programmer for chatGPT and has offered to help. I am assembling other resources and people also. The methodology for rapid research mentioned by the author is what I am looking to reproduce. I want to find accurate results in the most efficient way.

If anybody has experience and interest with designing high quality research studies, please contact me. My contact information can be found at ADHD2.com also.

ADHD and the "Zombie" Effect - Are You ADHD Too? 01/31/2023

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a complex disorder affecting children and adults. When people speak about ADHD treatments, they frequently refer to the “zombie effect.”

A quick Google search will show that this term refers to a cluster of personality changes mimicking:

-parkinsonism
-hypomimia (reduced facial expressions)
-bradykinesia (slowed movements)
-flat affect (lack of emotion)

These words are how doctors would describe the potential symptoms of “the zombie effect” (and also the zombies right before they bite the always unsuspecting doctor).

So, what do you need to know? Learn more here:
