Parents of Incoming AP Physics Students:
Here's a quick readiness checklist.
Can your child comfortably:
Rearrange equations
Interpret graph slopes
Calculate percentages
Work with scientific notation
Explain their reasoning in words
Solve multi-step algebra problems
If they answered "No" to 3 or more, AP Physics may feel overwhelming at first.
The good news?
These skills can be strengthened before school starts.

Parents of high school students — this is something I wish more families knew BEFORE AP Calculus.
A lot of students struggle in calculus not because they’re “bad at math”…
but because of gaps that started earlier in Algebra 2 and Precalculus.
Every year I see students lose confidence because of topics like:
• Rational functions
• Unit circle/trig identities
• Limits
• Multi-step algebra mistakes
That’s why I made this roadmap.
It shows:
1) what students should master first
2) where grades usually start dropping
3) how strong students prepare for AP Calculus
Honestly, summer is one of the best times to fix these gaps without school pressure.
If your child is taking:
• Algebra 2
• Precalculus
• AP Calculus AB/BC
this will help a lot.
Save this post so you can come back to it later.
And parents — what math topic stresses your child out the most right now?

Why students struggle in precalculus - and How to fix it ?

Is Math Stress already on your 2026 school year radar? 📉
Hi Parents!
I’m a Math tutor specializing in helping high schoolers bridge the gap from Algebra 2 to Precalculus by building math skills which has prooven to help a lot of highschoolers.
I’ve noticed many students struggle not because the new math is hard, but because their "math foundation" got a little rusty over summer break. Precalculus moves fast, and falling behind in the first month is a major source of stress for families.
I’m opening 5 spots for my "Precalc Jumpstart" summer intensive. We’ll spend 1-on-1 time mastering:
✅ Factoring quadratics (the #1 skill needed for Precalc)
✅ Understanding functions and their graphs
✅ Trigonometry basics that actually make sense
My Goal: Your student walks into class this fall with an "I’ve got this" attitude instead of "What is the teacher talking about?"
I also just finished a free "Precalculus Readiness Checklist" that lists the exact skills your student needs to master before Day 1.
Comment "MATH" below if you’d like me to DM you the free checklist or to chat about summer sessions

Meet Ishaan, a bright student who loved learning but found precalculus really tough.
No matter how hard he tried, his grades just wouldn’t budge from a D.
This was stressful for both him and his dad, who wanted to help but didn’t know how.
One day, while searching for solutions online, Ishaan’s dad discovered our educational program.
He thought it might be the answer they needed.
A bit hesitant about online classes but hopeful for change, they decided to give it a shot.
With our caring instructors and the flexibility of choosing their own private tutor, Ishaan felt supported in ways he never expected.
With encouragement at home and tailored lessons from his selected tutor, he dove into his studies.
Over just four weeks of focused learning, everything started to click! The concepts that once felt overwhelming became clear.
Soon enough, Ishaan was not only mastering precalculus but also gaining confidence in himself as a learner.
If you have kids like Ishaan who are struggling with their studies, remember—help is out there!
