The American Heart Association is raising concerns about the House Labor-HHS appropriations bill.

The proposal falls short for children and families—making only minimal investments in child care and early learning, eliminating key supports that strengthen early childhood systems, and
underfunding maternal and child health programs.

At a time when families need stronger support, we must do better. Investing in children’s health, early learning, and care is critical to helping every child thrive.
