The BTWHSPVA Class of 2026 received an inspiring Baccalaureate message from one of our own. Amber Pickens, Class of 2011, returned to campus to speak to our graduating seniors and share wisdom from her remarkable journey as a performer, creator, and cultural advocate. She is currently the Dallas Commissioner of the Arts.

Amber’s accomplishments span Broadway, film, television, global fashion, authorship, and arts leadership, and her message reminded students of the power of their artistry and the strength of the Arts Magnet legacy they carry forward.

We are grateful to Amber for pouring her heart into today’s ceremony and for continuing to represent BTWHSPVA with excellence. What a meaningful way to celebrate the Class of 2026 as they prepare for their next chapter.
