Congratulations to Maya Abrol ’22 on being named a Merrill Presidential Scholar at Cornell University!
As part of this prestigious honor, Maya selected Parish Upper School Art Teacher Beka Johnson as the mentor who had the greatest impact on her educational journey. Maya recognized Mrs. Johnson for helping her find her creative voice, embrace growth, and approach her work with intention.
We are so proud of Maya and grateful for educators like Beka who inspire students long after they leave Parish. ❤️💙

During Alumni Weekend, Parish alumni and families honored the memory of Mira Foshee ’22 by decorating bookmarks and collecting children’s books for United Way’s Read With Me Program and Little Red Libraries.
This week, Mira’s parents and brother helped deliver the books and bookmarks to United Way of Metropolitan Dallas - a meaningful way to continue Mira’s legacy of kindness, joy, and service.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make a difference in our community.

This week, we celebrated one of Parish’s most meaningful traditions - the Luncheon of a Lifetime honoring our 27 Senior Lifers in the Class of 2026.
Each student invited a faculty or staff member who has made an impact on their journey, making for a special afternoon of gratitude, memories and sweet notes of encouragement as the seniors prepare for their next journey.

TODAY is Panther Proud Alumni Giving Day! 💙🐾
We invite our alumni, parents of alumni and the entire Parish community to come together in support of current and future Parish students.
Every gift matters — and every act of participation helps strengthen the Parish experience that has meant so much to generations of students and families.
Throughout this week, we have highlighted several meaningful funds that celebrate beloved members of the Parish community while directly supporting students and programs, including:
💙 The Gloria H. Snyder Financial Assistance Endowment
💙 The Mira Foshee Class of 2022 Professional Development Fund
💙 The Mira Foshee Upper School Award
💙 The Nico Spirito Memorial Scholarship
💙 The Wes Salley Scholarship
💙 The 2025 Parish Fund
Together, we can continue to foster the transformative opportunities, experiences and sense of community that make Parish so special.
Many employers also offer matching gift programs that can double — or even triple — the impact of your contribution. We encourage you to check with your employer to see if matching is available.
Thank you for supporting Parish and helping open doors for current and future Panthers. 💙

As Panther Proud Alumni Giving Day approaches on Friday, May 15, we are honored to highlight the Gloria H. Snyder Financial Assistance Endowment.
This endowed fund helps make a Parish education possible for deserving students and families while honoring the legacy of former Head of School Gloria H. Snyder. Gloria believed deeply that every child should have access to the opportunities and experiences that define a Parish education.
Last year, gifts to this endowment helped provide:
💙 $4.7 million in tuition assistance
💙 Support for 233 students
💙 Aid to 90% of applicants
Supporting students and families was at the heart of Gloria’s leadership and remains a central part of her legacy today.
Please consider making a gift to help open doors and strengthen the Parish community for current and future Parish students.

As Panther Proud Alumni Giving Day approaches on Friday, May 15, we are honored to highlight the lasting legacy of former Parish student Mira Foshee ’22.
“Mira was a light and joy,” shared former Parish Swim Coach Lia Oberstar-Brown. “She was eternally positive and a ray of sunshine.”
Following Mira’s passing, her parents, Soume and Paul Foshee, established the Mira Foshee Fund in 2019 to celebrate her memory and continue the kindness and compassion that defined her life. In 2025, the family expanded this legacy by creating two endowed funds that continue to impact the Parish community today.
💜 The Mira Foshee Class of 2022 Professional Development Fund supports Parish teachers pursuing summer projects, additional study, and enrichment opportunities that strengthen their teaching and advising.
💜 The Mira Foshee Honor Award provides a monetary award to a rising Upper School senior who exemplifies the same moral character, integrity, trustworthiness, and respect that Mira embodied every day.
From Mira’s Memorial Fountain to the students and faculty impacted by these funds, her legacy continues to inspire our community.
The Parish Alumni Board has already reached 100% participation for Panther Proud Alumni Giving Day. We hope you’ll join us in making a gift to support current and future Parish Panthers.

We closed out Alumni Weekend with a meaningful and family-filled afternoon at our Alumni Family Picnic and service project.
In partnership with United Way’s Read With Me Program, alumni and their families honored the memory of former student, Mira Foshee, (Class of 2022) by decorating bookmarks and collecting children’s books for Little Red Libraries. It was a beautiful way to give back while spending time together as a community.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this special project and helped inspire a love of reading in young students.
