• Seniors — July 28

• Freshmen/New Students — July 30

Flight School for new students will also take place July 30.

Not to shame any other class, but the Class of 2027 just set the BAR!

Our rising seniors kicked off their journey with their very first Senior Surprise, and it was everything we hoped for and more. Students and their families enjoyed an icy treat from Kona Ice, followed by personalized shades to celebrate the fact that the Class of 2027 is officially the COOLEST.

This early celebration marks the beginning of an unforgettable senior year, and if this kickoff is any indication, the Class of 2027 is ready to shine!

BTW PTSA Updates — Week of May 11th

Thank you to all the amazing volunteers who helped make Teacher Appreciation Week so special for our faculty, staff, and administration! PTSA + Guild volunteers helped organize breakfasts, treats, coffee carts, and daily celebrations throughout the week. 💙

Upcoming Events & Volunteer Opportunities:
• May 11 — Rising Seniors (Class of 2027) Meeting | 6:30 PM in the Commons 🎓 Discussion includes senior events, fundraising, senior shirts/yard signs, plus the first “Senior Surprise” for students attending.

• May 4–15 — AP Testing volunteers still needed for hall monitoring + proctoring support.

• May 12–20 — Student volunteers needed for Yearbook Distribution (service hours available).

• May 13 — Senior Cap & Gown Photos + volunteer help needed for check-in and dressing assistance.

• May 27 — Parent volunteers needed for Student Laptop Collection in the book room.

Fine Arts & BTW Highlights:
• Congrats to all students who participated in the 2026 Flight Film Festival showcasing original student films in the MAT. 🎬

• Huge congratulations to the BTW Mock Trial team for representing BTW on the national stage! ⚖️

FINAL PTSA Meeting (TOMORROW, 6–7 PM)
End-of-year updates and school-wide info
Followed by Guild meetings (Visual Arts, Dance, Music)

☀️PTSA Summer Scholarships (Deadline Extended – May 8)
Apply for up to $500 toward summer programs (academic, performing, or visual arts)
• Open to BTW students pursuing summer enrichment
• Student + 1 parent must be PTSA members
• 20 PTSA volunteer hours required (parent + student combined)
• PTSA-sponsored hours only (Guild/Conservatory hours do not count)
• First-come, first-served until funds run out
If you paid class dues, student membership is already included

Lots of volunteer opportunities as we wrap up this year!

📝 AP Testing (May 4–15)
PTSA needs parent volunteers (proctors + hall monitors) to support testing across campus
• Flexible shifts throughout the day
• No experience needed
• Biggest volunteer need of the month

📚 May 12–20 – Yearbook Distribution
Student volunteers help:
• Distribute yearbooks
• Manage lines and organize pickup
Easy way to earn service hours on campus

🎓 May 13 – Cap & Gown Distribution (9:30–12:30)
Support seniors during pickup
• Check-in and organization
• High-traffic event—extra help needed

🎉 May 18 – Senior Party (1–3 PM @ Sandy Pickle)
Celebration for the Class of 2026
• Parent volunteers needed
• Raffle prize donations requested
One of the biggest senior events of the year

⛪ May 30 – Baccalaureate (11 AM)
Graduation event for seniors and families
• Junior students and parents needed to volunteer
• Roles include ushering and event support

🌟 2026-27 PTSA MEMBERSHIPS & CLASS DUES | NOW OPEN! 🌟

Welcome, Rising Pegasi! New and returning families of students attending BTWHSPVA for the 2026–27 school year can now purchase PTSA memberships and pay class dues for the upcoming year.

Class dues* are collected annually and contribute to each grade’s Senior Fund, which supports senior‑year activities, celebrations, and traditions once students reach 12th grade.

Paying dues each year helps build a strong foundation for an unforgettable senior experience.

Early PTSA membership and class‑dues payment ensure a smooth start to the school year and allow our PTSA to begin planning with the resources needed to support our newest Pegasus families.

We’re excited to welcome all Rising Pegasi into the BTWHSPVA community and look forward to an amazing year ahead.
