Thanks everyone for their responses. The bird is in a safe space with someone who has raised baby birds before. The little guy is eating, trying to fly and apparently letting everyone in the house know he’s there.
A happy ending for sure!

We plan to go to the Pilot Center and Classrooms (bottom floor of the McLean Building) here on campus momentarily. We plan to be there from snack until the afternoon. We will play Pictionary, watch the movie, eat snack and lunch and spend time in the classrooms.
That area is our normal tornado shelter and we will be very safe there.
My number for pickup (251) 689-6409.
Please text me and we will get campers back to the library for pickup.

We found a baby bird yesterday on the sidewalk at Bayside.
We thought the mother would come back. It was still there this morning in the rain.
We brought it inside to keep it warm.
We think it might be a finch….does anyone know anywhere or anyone that might take it in?
