REGISTER FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR: We're excited to welcome our students for the 2026-2027 school year! Registration is now open for all new students from Pre-K through 12th grade.

How to Register: Getting started is quick and easy. You can complete your student's registration entirely online: Go to https://bcbe.schoolmint.com/login to get started.

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS: Beginning June 1- July 31, BCBE staff will work four days a week (Monday-Thursday) throughout the summer. Please check with your school or district office for their office hours. Five-day work weeks (Monday- Friday) will return on August 3.

Attention rising 7th & 8th graders in the Daphne Feeder Pattern: It's officially summer, which means we are officially kicking off the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge!

This challenge is open to all rising 7th and 8th graders in the Daphne feeder pattern, and it's an easy way for your student to continue to learn and grow over the summer break while prepping to be a part of the fun in the fall when we return to campus!

Here is a quick overview:
1. Choose your own goal!
2. Choose your own books! (And yes... ebooks and audiobooks count!)
3. Log your progress over the summer!
4. Complete your end-of-challenge survey!
5. Accept your invitation to the Summer Reading Celebration event!

All participants who complete the challenge will be recognized and invited to our Summer Reading Celebration event in the fall! Families of these players: Mark your calendar for the first practice Tuesday, May 26th from 10:30-12:00 at DMS gym with a parent meeting to follow that practice.

Families of these team members: Make plans to attend the parent meeting next Tuesday at 5:00.

Corporal Jamie Huffman recently earned certification as a School Safety Specialist from The Alabama Association of School Resource Officers-TAASRO. She is one of only 35 SROs in the state to earn this distinction. Cpl. Huffman holds many other certifications, including FBI Fi****ms Instructor, ALICE and ALERT instructor, and Homeland Security Threat Assessment. Additionally, she manages two youth mentorship programs and regularly participates with Compass II Life Services.
